HDR is seeking an early career marketing professional willing to be trained in HDR’s methodologies and build a future in this dynamic organization. This position requires strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, administrative and multi-tasking skills, as well as a positive attitude and team approach. The successful candidate will be driven, energetic, hands‑on, and will support business development and marketing efforts for the Building Engineering Services Business Group. The role reports to the BES Strategic Pursuit Leader and works closely with local leadership and the international marketing team.
Primary Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the BES pursuit, marketing team and project managers to prepare materials, including qualifications, proposals, presentations, handouts, brochures, announcements, and reports.
Execute capture planning activities, including client and project research.
Develop and assure compliance with proposal/interview management documents, including proposal development schedules, outlines, and assignments.
Work under tight deadlines with diplomacy, balancing multiple priorities on concurrent assignments while maintaining quality.
Maintain our client and marketing database, updating employee and project records through the EBS database system.
Write and tailor employee resumes, project descriptions, and other qualification materials.
Develop and/or coordinate graphics.
Perform technical writing/editing.
Help advance marketing process improvement initiatives.
Administer implementation of the go
o‑go decision process in accordance with HDR's Matrix of Authority.
Support pursuit teams in developing persuasive proposal and interview materials.
Monitor client and industry websites for solicitation status.
Help file proposal and presentation material upon submittal.
Maintain accurate project and resume data in business development systems.
Arrange for professional photography on projects.
Support development and implementation of client plans, including long‑term strategies to capture market share, as assigned.
Support solicitation of formal client feedback.
Support content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase visibility, and showcase our thought leaders.
Support the development and publication of engaging digital content that reflects HDR’s brand and elevates our thought leadership.
Support implementation of strategies that elevate HDR’s brand and technical talent with industry associations.
Support creation of marketing collateral to support business development efforts.
Support fulfillment of conference sponsorship benefits, as needed.
Support development of engaging internal communications content (announcements, presentations, videos, webinars).
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, Strategy, Public Relations, Business or other Business‑related major.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone/interpersonal skills.
Skilled at meeting tight deadlines and making independent decisions critical to job success.
Flexible and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, working with and taking direction from multiple levels of professional staff in a fast‑paced environment.
Team‑oriented, self‑starter able to work with different personalities and professional styles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
