Overview
Senior Sales Executive – Security Systems within Siemens’ new construction business, part of the commercial Security Systems team. Responsibilities include developing and implementing plans to grow contractor, consultant, developer, and end‑user relationships, capitalizing on sales opportunities, and executing complex deals independently within established guidelines.
Responsibilities
Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.
Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasting expected order intake and consistently delivering on forecasted results.
Build comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals.
Develop vertical market and account management plans focused on strategic growth and new business opportunities.
Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization, recommending services to ensure building systems meet business goals.
Attend industry‑specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE, or USGBC.
Consult with the customer to determine budgeting and investment requirements.
Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging world‑class digital service delivery.
Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
Work with sales support to enable more customer engagement.
Collaborate with sales estimators to prepare cost estimates and bid packages.
Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
Set pricing based on the identified value of services offered.
Work with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to obtain the sale.
Participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable.
Spend minimum 50% of time in customer‑facing activities, performed in person and on site.
Support existing customers while acting as a hunter to bring in new customers.
Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development as required.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
7+ years of sales experience in security systems, low‑voltage systems, or related field.
Demonstrated financial expertise; experience in estimating and selling technical solutions and services independently.
On‑the‑job experience in account development and strategic sales skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
21 years of age, valid driver’s license with limited violations; meets eligibility for Siemens fleet vehicle program.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Software, IoT, and networking experience.
Understanding of how to market, position, and sell cloud‑based, data‑driven service programs to existing and new customers.
