Position Overview
We are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. The Security Systems Senior Sales Executive supports our Plano, TX branch, serving customers throughout the northeast Dallas, TX area. This role is committed to supporting our new construction business within the commercial Security Systems team, driving booking and profit goals through strategic account development and sophisticated deal execution.
Responsibilities
Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.
Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasting expected order intake and delivering on forecasted results consistently.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitor offerings, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals.
Develop a vertical market and account management plan focused on strategic growth; identify new business opportunities and create “go-to-market” strategies to drive business to the end‑user and the standard construction channel.
Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization, recommending services to ensure building systems perform as required to achieve business goals.
Attend industry-specific networking events and participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE, or USGBC to build a network of contacts and represent Siemens in the market.
Consult with the customer to determine budgeting and investment requirements.
Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging world-class digital service delivery as a key differentiator.
Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
Work with internal sales support, estimators, and other sales business teams to prepare cost estimates, bid packages, and plan new projects and accounts.
Set pricing based on identified value of services offered to the customer.
Work with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to obtain the sale.
Actively participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
Spend a minimum of 50% of time in customer-facing activities, performed in person and on customer site.
Support existing customer base while also hunting for new customers.
Travel overnight (~10%) for training and business development as required based on your assigned territory.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
7+ years of sales experience in security systems, low‑voltage systems, or related fields.
Demonstrated financial expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions and service offerings independently.
On‑the‑job experience in account development and strategic sales skills.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
Software, IoT, and networking experience.
Demonstrable understanding of how to market, position, and sell cloud‑based, data‑driven service programs to existing and new customers.
Benefits
Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits. Pay range: $80,920.00 – $138,720 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
