Leidos is seeking a qualified

Production Technician

for its Hypersonic line of business. The role involves assembly and production of Hypersonic Glide Bodies (HGB) across all stages, including electrical and mechanical assembly, integration, testing, and troubleshooting within an efficient work cell and laboratory environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Assemble and test electronic/avionic components and hypersonic flight vehicles.

Perform subsystem testing, troubleshooting, and mechanical component assembly.

Work in a fast‑paced, quality‑critical environment with engineers and technicians.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 3 or more years of relevant experience within the defense industry.

Ability to work from production drawings, schematics, Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Work Authorization Documents (WAD).

Basic skills using hand tools, DMM, milliohm meter, and Microsoft Office.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Teamwork skills in a fast‑paced, quality‑critical environment.

Organizational skills to document work and support configuration management of production activities.

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

U.S. citizenship and possession (or eligibility to obtain) a Final Secret Clearance or a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Environmental testing experience.

Explosive or ordnance training.

Familiarity with 5S work environment practices.

Familiarity with ESD and FOD controlled work environment methods.

Experience with torque and safety wire practices.

Experience in aerospace/aircraft component assembly and handling operations.

Experience operating material handling equipment including forklift, pallet jacks, and overhead crane operations.

Pay Range
$50,700.00 - $91,650.00
