Job Title: Production Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Description

This role involves assembling components of bedding. You will work with glue and other materials to ensure proper assembly, encasing main foam components in fabric. This position requires standing on your feet for 8-12 hours a day, and working with your hands to ensure materials are assembled correctly.

Responsibilities

Assemble components of bedding using glue and other materials.

Ensure the main foam components are encased in fabric.

Stand for 8-12 hours per day while working with your hands.

Ensure material is properly produced and assembled.

Lift up to 75 lbs as required.

Operate within one or more areas in a continuous flow manufacturing process.

Execute prescribed repetitive processes to meet production and quality standards.

Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.

Work in process areas such as Coiling, Foam Encasement, Assembly, Gluing, Sewing, Borders, Quilting, Closing, and Packing.

Essential Skills

3+ years of assembly experience.

3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read blueprints and drawings.

Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

Experience in production and using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean and organized warehouse environment, operating on a 2nd shift from 4 PM to 12 AM with a full 8-hour shift and a 30-minute lunch. The work environment involves exposure to high noise levels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment is provided for any hazards, and the company engages in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77064.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
