Job Description
Elwyn seeks a

Program Supervisor

responsible for overall management of identified community residential service location(s), including orientation and supervision of staff, medication oversight, medical appointments, food shopping, petty cash, menu implementation, fire drills, room care, outcomes implementation and documentation, site maintenance, and vehicle issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate and give input in the interview process and collaborate with the Operations Manager (OM) and Program Specialist (PS) to maintain a team focused on Individual Support Plan (ISP) outcomes, program structure and client rights.

Provide timely feedback to OM on Life Skill Associates (LSAs) and Lead LSAs job performance; provide direction and education to LSAs as needed.

Ensure personnel maintain compliance with training and credentialing requirements, including site orientation, annual training, and required topics.

Provide guidance on daily care, instruction, and safety of individuals supported at the program site as outlined in the ISP.

Ensure sites operate in accordance with the organization’s quality standards, state licensing, and accreditation standards.

Communicate operational needs and status to the Operations Manager to maximize overall efficiency.

Inventory items in first aid kits and vehicles; report missing items to OM.

Direct LSA staff on: medication administration, documentation, petty cash, menu compliance, property utilization, fire drills, community outings, care plan implementation, room care, transportation scheduling.

Create monthly activity calendars based on individual preferences and regulations.

Communicate staffing resources to fulfill community outing requirements.

Support and verify staff hours using sign-in sheets.

Respond to contacts from the community and families in the absence of OM.

Assemble and maintain personal care books.

Deliver copies of progress notes to PS for reports.

Participate in ISP development and implementation with PS.

Complete required paperwork and documentation per program regulations.

Assist in resolving problematic situations and report emergencies.

Assist OM with MAR reviews.

Serve as first point of contact during assigned shift for daily and emergency situations.

Verify and report staffing compliance to OM.

Document performance-related issues for OM.

Complete training to become certified medication practicum observer.

Participate in nursing meetings.

Ensure census is set in electronic record.

Remain current with training, licensing, and regulatory requirements.

Deliver mail to/from Media Campus.

Report policy infractions to program management.

Provide on-call coverage as assigned.

Perform CPR, medication administration, crisis intervention as trained.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Skills / Experience Requirements

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in business or human services preferred.

Two (2) years of experience in residential programs for people with disabilities.

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable to schedule and assignment changes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to request, accept, and utilize feedback and training.

Experience in performance feedback, training, and delegation.

Ability to perform CPR, medication administration, and crisis intervention per agency protocol.

Teamwork and independent working ability.

Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills.

Multitasking ability.

Strong customer interaction skills.

Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and manage competing priorities.

Attention to detail.

Judgment to solve problems with little supervision.

Anticipate future changes, identify problems, and act effectively.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Experience using electronic client record a plus.

Valid driver’s license in state of residence; minimum two (2) years of driving experience in the U.S.; acceptable driving record.
