Position Summary
The Assistant Designer will support the design team to seamlessly deliver samples and assist throughout the product development process for the dress line. This role will strategize with team members to ensure operational excellence and contribute to the creative and organizational needs of the design department.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with creation and maintenance of cost cards.

Manage the handoff of design development from design office to production for orders.

Maintain and organize the sample room; coordinate with cutter and sewers.

Track domestic and overseas samples to ensure timely delivery.

Keep showroom samples organized and presentation-ready.

Organize and maintain the swatch library by vendor and quality.

Support CAD work in Photoshop and clean garment images for the FileMaker operating system.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a design support role (dresses experience preferred)

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop CS, MS Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The pay range for this position is:

$50,000 – $65,000 per year .
