We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.What are we looking for in a Program Manager?The Program Manager for the Aspen Victim Advocacy Services Center provides supervision, direction, and support to assigned staff and volunteers. They will coordinate projects and activities to help strengthen and extend selected public or private programs and projects. The Program Manager will also maintain accurate and up to date data collection per agency policy, WAC requirements and contracted obligations. Additionally, the Program Manager will ensure client files meet agency, WAC, and contract requirements and the program meets all accreditation standards, compliance requirements, RCW's and WAC's. The Program Manager will oversee services assuring staff and volunteers are well trained and educated on policies, procedures, standards, and applicable contracts. The ideal candidate will have have grant writing experience and extensive experience working in a crime victims, domestic violence, or sexual assault program. Although the Program Manager has primarily a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, they must also be available for after-hours emergency calls and shift coverage when necessary.Comprehensive Healthcare’s Aspen Victim Advocacy Services in Yakima are located inside Comprehensive Healthcare’s Yakima Center. Our location offers a safe space for individuals who are survivors of violent crimes such as sexual assault to come and receive services. Aspen Victim Advocacy Services is also here to serve those who have been harmed as a result of crimes such as assault, robbery, child abuse, identity theft, arson, kidnapping, hate crimes, and human trafficking.Aspen of Yakima serves both primary (to whom the violence was directed) and secondary (other concerned parties such as families & friends) victims of intimate partner domestic violence and sexual assault. We respond to the emotional needs of crime victims, and help them and their families stabilize their lives after victimization.Aspen is able to provide services for other crimes through the Aspen Crime Victim Service Center (CVSC), also located in Yakima. The CVSC provides crime victim services for both Kittitas and Yakima Counties. Crime Victim Services include, but are not limited to, non-intimate partner domestic violence, burglary, assault, trafficking, and identity theft.Program Manager duties may include:Provides direction, supervision, coaching, training and regular performance feedback to build employee skills and support progress toward goals.Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selectionsCreates training and development plans to support new employees to be successfulCompletes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner.Assists with the development of the team budget and monitors budget throughout the yearMonitors program plan adherence to ensure quality service deliveryCollaborates with the Human Resources Department on hiring, retention and progressive discipline issuesCommunicates relevant matters to direct reports timely and effectivelyQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in social services and at least 2 years of program leadership and personnel management experience relevant to domestic violence and/or sexual assaultMust have knowledge of sexual assault and general crimes issues, and businesses administrationSexual Assault Accreditation standards for experience and training:30-hour OCVA-approved initial sexual assault core advocacy trainingTen (10) hours of general management trainingTwo (2) years of relevant experienceDomestic violence standards outlined in WAC 388-61A. 1080 & 1090:WAC 388-61A-1080 details the initial and continuing training requirements for staff and volunteers of domestic violence programsWAC 388-61A-1090 supervisors of staff providing supportive services to domestic violence clients must have the following minimum experience and training requirements prior to being hired as a supervisor:At least two years of experience providing advocacy to victims of domestic violence within a domestic violence program; andA minimum of fifty hours of training on domestic violence issues and advocacy within three years prior to being hired as a supervisorMust have valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experienceIn compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
