ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who owns our digital presence, drives content strategy, and uses AI as a core production tool. This is not a narrow specialist role — it requires someone who can move fluidly between website performance, content creation, vendor management, and sales enablement without losing quality or momentum.
The right person is proactive and resourceful. They notice what needs to happen before being told, they have opinions about what's working, and they're genuinely excited about using AI and emerging tools to produce better work faster. They stay close to what sales needs — anticipating requests, not just responding to them — and use every tool available to deliver.
This role operates with significant autonomy and requires someone who is energized by that, not overwhelmed by it.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Website Ownership
Own website performance end-to-end, including uptime monitoring, issue troubleshooting, and coordination with external web partners.
Manage updates tied to the ongoing website redesign, keeping projects on track and maintaining quality standards throughout.
Maintain SEO and GEO efforts, tracking performance across Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush with a focus on traffic, indexing, and overall site health.
Lead the blog consolidation initiative to improve site quality and search performance.
Content Planning and Execution
Own content from research and planning through publishing and promotion — including blog writing, service page alignment, and search priority mapping.
Maintain a content calendar that balances SEO priorities, business goals, and sales needs.
Manage the content approval process with the technical team, keeping work moving without sacrificing accuracy or brand voice.
Use AI tools to accelerate content production while maintaining a consistent, high-quality brand voice across all outputs.
AI Tools and Marketing Technology
Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools that improve marketing efficiency, content quality, and asset production.
Use AI as a primary production engine for collateral, sales materials, and content — not just as an occasional aid.
Develop internal workflows and guidelines for AI tool use that preserve brand standards and ensure consistent quality.
Stay current on emerging marketing technology and bring informed, practical recommendations to leadership.
Serve as the internal resource for how AI and marketing technology can help the team do more with less.
Sales Enablement and Support
Maintain active alignment with the sales team to anticipate needs, understand active opportunities, and identify gaps in available materials — before sales has to ask.
Use AI as the primary production engine for collateral, pitch materials, and client‑facing assets — rapidly producing and iterating on content that reflects current positioning and messaging.
Lead the marketing contribution to RFP responses and proposal workflows, owning the narrative and ensuring submissions are compelling, accurate, and on‑brand.
Own quality and brand consistency across all client‑facing materials — nothing goes out the door that does not meet the standard.
Vendor and Freelancer Management
Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for external freelancers across web, video, and paid media.
Set priorities, review deliverables, provide clear feedback, and ensure all work aligns with brand standards and business goals.
Manage vendor relationships proactively so projects stay on schedule and quality stays consistent.
Strategy and Research
Contribute to strategic initiatives including the website overhaul, positioning work, and market and competitor research.
Bring a point of view to marketing strategy — not just execute it.
Identify opportunities to improve marketing performance and make the case for change when you see it.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
4–7 years of marketing experience with demonstrated ownership across multiple functions — not just depth in one area.
Working knowledge of SEO principles, Google Analytics, and Search Console. Experience with SEMrush or similar tools preferred.
Strong writing skills — you can produce clear, on‑brand content without heavy editing and understand the difference between writing for search and writing for a human audience.
Genuine, hands‑on experience with AI tools in a marketing context. You use them regularly, you have a point of view on what works, and you're always looking for new ways to apply them.
Experience managing freelancers or external vendors, including setting expectations, reviewing deliverables, and holding people accountable to timelines and quality standards.
Natural alignment with sales — you understand what they need, you stay ahead of requests, and you make it easy for them to sell.
High comfort with ambiguity and independent prioritization. You can manage competing demands without losing quality or follow‑through.
Ownership mentality. You notice what's broken, you have ideas about how to fix it, and you see things through.
