Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and proactive Executive Communications Lead to drive executive positioning and communications for NetApp’s Chief Product Officer (CPO). This role will leverage the CPO’s platform to grow reputation and credibility for NetApp’s product innovation and enterprise AI vision. To achieve this goal, the Executive Communications Lead will develop and execute an integrated communications plan to reach and influence 360‑degree (external and internal) audiences. This role is not an order-taker; setting strategic direction and providing counsel to executives is essential.

Job Requirements

Executive Communications Strategy

– Evolve and refine CPO positioning strategy to ensure it is robust, relevant, distinctive, and aligned to NetApp priorities. Proactively conceptualize and drive new opportunities, while vetting inbound/reactive opportunities, to ensure effective use of CPO voice grounded in business strategy and impact. Provide strategic counsel and address potential communications risks, handling sensitive matters with discretion. Enhance CPO messaging platform with compelling stories and proof points.

Program Management and Optimization

– Serve as the integrator and point of contact for all CPO communications matters, ensuring strategic alignment and quality control. Drive CPO communications plan and calendar of external and internal activations. Ensure CPO communications are executed with flawless timeliness, preparation, and quality. Establish ways of working with stakeholders and SMEs to align and execute CPO communications. Track CPO communications KPIs and make data‑driven recommendations.

Content Creation

– Build and edit content in CPO’s voice, such as slide presentations, keynote speeches, talking points, video scripts, bylined articles, blogs, LinkedIn posts, and email announcements. Manage processes to collect information from SMEs, align multimedia assets, and route materials for review.

Education

Minimum of 8 years of applicable professional experience

Experience advising C‑level executives

Experience building and executing integrated communications plans

Experience working in B2B tech with technical product information

Strong program management skills with ability to balance long‑term and short‑term priorities

Exceptional writing skills with creativity and a keen eye for detail

Strong PowerPoint skills to build slide presentations

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Compensation
The target salary range for this position is 148,750 - 175,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
