Kanbrick is a purpose-driven, long-term investment partner to owner-, family-, and founder-led businesses. We work hands‑on with our companies to unlock their full potential through strong operations and people leadership, thinking in decades, not quarters.
The Role
We're seeking a high‑agency, analytically sharp Talent Associate to help build and scale Kanbrick’s executive talent engine. This is not a transactional recruiting role. It is an execution‑heavy, research‑driven builder seat for someone who:
Has trained in executive search or PE talent operations
Understands how to map markets and engage passive senior talent
Wants to move from research support into full‑cycle ownership
Is excited by using AI and emerging tools to rethink how executive recruiting works
Map and Analyze Executive Talent Markets
Build structured talent maps across C‑suite and VP‑level roles in finance, operations, HR, and corporate development
Analyze career trajectories, company contexts, and performance signals to form thoughtful candidate hypotheses
Approach talent mapping as a market intelligence exercise, not a resume search
Execute End‑to‑End Executive Searches
Partner with Kanbrick leaders to define success profiles and ideal candidate criteria
Design and execute sourcing strategies for senior and hard‑to‑fill leadership roles
Conduct substantive screening conversations assessing strategic capability, motivation, and cultural alignment
Manage candidates through a high‑touch, thoughtful process
Build an AI‑Enabled Talent Engine
Design and refine AI‑assisted research, sourcing, and outreach workflows
Experiment with LLM tools, automation, data enrichment platforms, and CRM systems to increase insight and leverage
Bring a hypothesis‑driven mindset: test, iterate, improve
Activate and Maintain Executive Relationships
Build long‑term relationships with high‑potential operators before roles formally open
Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and relationship tracking
Leverage Kanbrick’s network of advisors and executives to generate warm introductions
Requirements
Track record of success in mapping, sourcing and managing relationships with executive‑level talent as a Research Associate or Analyst at a retained search firm or PE talent operations team
A natural connector who builds trust quickly and enjoys cultivating relationships over time
Demonstrated success sourcing and engaging passive talent for senior or niche roles
Strong intellectual curiosity: you want to understand how businesses operate and how leadership drives performance
Structured thinking: you approach talent mapping analytically and can synthesize large amounts of information quickly
Technical curiosity: you actively experiment with AI, automation, and modern sourcing strategies
A high degree of ownership and pace with comfort operating independently
A genuine connection to Kanbrick’s purpose and people‑first values
A mindset that recruiting should be more than just filling reqs and a genuine interest in building systems and relationships from the ground up
This role is not designed for a traditional corporate or high‑volume agency recruiter; it is designed for a high‑potential search professional ready for broader ownership and exposure
Benefits
A collaborative, high‑performing and entrepreneurial team culture
Opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the success of a growing investment partnership
Direct exposure to executive hiring with full ownership of executive searches
Experience building a modern, AI‑enabled executive search function from inception with a steep learning curve at the intersection of investing, operations, and talent
Competitive compensation and benefits
