This role leads creative direction for copy and written content across Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, working inside Full Bars (our in‑house agency) to deliver brand storytelling and multi‑format written expressions that move marketing objectives forward. The work spans concepting, voice strategy, narrative development, and execution across Ecommerce, Media, Brand, and Retention channels. The role partners closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to translate strategy into creative work that engages our audiences, holds a distinct tone of voice for each brand, and shapes how customers feel about us.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the copywriting team to develop high‑quality written content that meets brand and marketing goals across Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile

Provide actionable feedback through quarterly reviews and ongoing coaching to strengthen craft, career growth, and storytelling instincts

Manage team dynamics and performance to keep a productive, collaborative environment where writers can do their best work

Develop and steward a distinct, consistent tone of voice for each brand, evolving it when business needs call for it

Partner with the Creative Director, Design & Animation as a dynamic duo to deliver breakthrough integrated creative across promotional campaigns, social, experiential/brand activations, and customer communications

Collaborate with marketing partners, Creative Account Management, and external partners to plan and execute creative projects against shared deadlines

Translate briefs (and more often, conversations) into ideas and narratives that drive action

Present creative concepts, rationale, and a persuasive POV to senior leadership and stakeholders to secure alignment and buy‑in

Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)

Acceptable areas of study include English, Communications, Advertising, Film or related field (Preferred)

8+ years writing for national or global brands as a creative director or like creative leader. (Preferred)

You’ve worked with leading brands and led copy teams to produce award‑winning work. (Preferred)

D2C brand experience a strong plus (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Leadership: A track record of leading copy teams and partnering with marketing and production to produce high‑quality narratives (short and long‑form), campaign concepts, and channel‑specific writing that holds up across Ecomm, Media, Brand, and Retention (Required)

Creative Direction: You have a vision for how every customer touchpoint is evolving and can steer the work that direction. We want passionate creative thinkers who are also seasoned enough to know when to push back, when to take feedback, and when to move on. (Required)

Presentations: Confidently and persuasively presenting creative concepts to secure buy‑in (Required)You work independently and proactively. You can take a brief (or more often, a conversation) and turn it into an idea. You know when to get others involved and how to work with peers inside and outside Creative. (Required)

Problem Solving: Identify problems and provide solutions, or resolve with a sense of urgency, in a high‑volume, fast‑turnaround environment (Required)

Love storytelling: Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile have grown by crafting motivational stories around people and purpose. We create content that speaks with, not at, our customers. You should be able to copywrite, concept, and steer work against this mission. (Required)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. At T‑Mobile, employees in regular, non‑temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year‑end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
