About the Role
The Director of Market Analytics will lead the analytics organization for the South Florida market. The selected candidate will provide analytic content for CoStar’s product offerings and represent CoStar to clients and industry stakeholders. The position will be based in Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
Responsibilities
- Produce meaningful, relevant, and insightful analysis of real estate market conditions for inclusion in CoStar’s product offerings.
- Create written narratives for market and submarket reports.
- Present analysis to clients and at industry events.
- Work with external media to highlight CoStar’s commercial and residential real estate data and trends.
- Generate written and visual content for CoStar’s news platform.
- Develop analytical content for Homes.com.
- Engage in interactions and discussions with CoStar customers.
- Translate analysis and insights into meaningful content for the market.
- Deliver in‑person market updates to clients and industry groups, focusing on economic, commercial real estate, and housing market trends in South Florida.
- Continuously review and monitor CoStar data for accuracy, timeliness, and quality, ensuring errors and outliers are corrected promptly.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Eight or more years of work experience in commercial real estate, with experience in the South Florida market.
- High level of understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, economic theory, and principles applied to the real estate industry.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, proficient with Excel.
- Familiarity with local markets, as a resident or real estate professional.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or other graduate degree in a related field strongly preferred.
- Polished presentation and communication skills.
- Experience speaking and presenting data related to market conditions to large groups and executive‑level settings.
- Client orientation and commitment to help clients succeed.
- SQL experience.
