Description & Requirements

As a Director within Celerity, a fast-growing business within Bain & Company focused on delivering high‑impact pricing and commercial strategy engagements, you will lead complex pricing engagements that help clients improve revenue performance and commercial effectiveness.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead pricing projects, including scoping workstreams, structuring analyses, overseeing execution, and driving client deliverables.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into pricing strategy recommendations and executive‑level insights.
  • Manage and coach Expert Pricing Consultants and broader pricing teams.
  • Lead client discussions, workshops, and presentations.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across pricing, finance, sales, and sales operations functions.
  • Contribute to scalable methodologies, tools, automation initiatives, and pricing intellectual property development.

ABOUT YOU

Required Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in pricing strategy and revenue optimization.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience leading pricing or commercial strategy engagements.
  • Experience managing analysts, consultants, or distributed teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to connect pricing analytics to broader commercial strategy decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex pricing problems and translate data‑driven insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience leading client updates and stakeholder discussions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of consulting pricing experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Prior business consulting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics, data manipulation, and visualization tools.
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, and/or PowerBI.
  • Experience working with large commercial transaction datasets.

WORK MODEL / TRAVEL

This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in‑office presence at least three days per week. Travel requirements may vary based on client and business needs.

U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best‑in‑class benefits package.

  • In Dallas, Austin, and Houston, the good‑faith, reasonable annualized full‐time salary range is $163,250 – $195,750.
  • In Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, DC, the range is $178,750 – $214,500.
  • In New York, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley, the range is $194,250 – $233,250.
  • In Atlanta, the range is $155,500 – $186,500.
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus.
  • Eligibility for other discretionary compensation elements.
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after three years of service and is 100% vested upon start date.
