Sales Manager
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Pilgrim’s team in Gainesville, GA. The Sales Manager serves as the business manager for their prospective plant and is responsible for revenue generation in plant sales and key accounts within a geographic area or market.

Responsibilities

Ensures all production has a sale associated with it and manages excess sales.

Works with the plant scheduler to sell excess product.

Coordinates with the Sales Director on long‑term sales strategy, mix, and execution.

Maintains knowledge of the operated markets and deep understanding of market trends.

Provides day‑to‑day supervision of activities, including production planning and execution based upon sales mix.

Directs the flow of information for sales activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders, contracts) and evaluates data to ensure area goals are met.

Coordinates internal product transfers.

Handles customer issues/complaints, including shortages/overages, transportation issues, and credit and billing issues.

Ensures sales objectives are met within company strategies while maintaining coordination with integral functions, including transportation, plant operations, live production, and accounting.

Identifies unprofitable processes and products through gap analysis and implements actionable plans for correction.

Acts as liaison between sales and other departments.

Meets with key clients, maintains relationships, negotiates, and closes deals.

May be required to travel to customers, plant sites, and corporate office.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Pilgrim’s experience preferred.

2+ years of experience in food, poultry preferred.

Ability and willingness to travel when requested.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base salary range: $79,417 – $96,491.70, depending on experience.
