Our client, a nationally recognized leader in the retail industry, is seeking a Category Manager to support the development and execution of brand and packaging strategies that drive best-in-class consumer experiences. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, creative execution, and operational excellence, partnering across multiple teams to ensure cohesive and impactful packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to translate insights into actionable strategies that enhance brand visibility and customer engagement across channels.

Job Description

The Category Manager will be responsible for translating brand, business, and packaging strategies into effective creative briefs and ensuring seamless execution across initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align priorities, manage projects, and optimize the overall packaging and brand experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand Management, Creative, Merchandising, and Insights to align goals and drive initiatives forward
Leverage consumer behavior insights, market trends, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities that enhance brand communication and elevate the customer experience
Develop and implement packaging strategies that align with broader brand objectives, ensuring consistency and scalability across multiple channels
Partner with domestic and global stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, priorities, and risks to ensure successful execution
Oversee day-to-day project management activities, including setting project context, facilitating meetings, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
Drive cross-functional coordination, goal alignment, and budget management to support efficient and effective project delivery
Ensure end-to-end connectivity between strategy and execution across packaging initiatives

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
3–5 years of relevant professional experience in category management, brand strategy, marketing, or related field
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in retail, consumer goods, or packaging strategy environments
Familiarity with cross-functional product development or go-to-market processes
Experience collaborating with creative, merchandising, and marketing teams
Strong project management skills and experience managing budgets and timelines
