PROGRAM MONITOR
Job Summary:
The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), seeks an experienced individual to serve as a Program Monitor. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by overseeing high‑quality, flexible services and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Job Duties:
Conduct on‑site monitoring visits and evaluate programs using statutes, rules, regulations, and health and safety standards.
Write detailed reports of monitoring visits and request Corrective Action Plans for systemic violations.
Plan evaluations of group homes or other programs by reviewing past reports, incidents, and complaints.
Make follow‑up visits to assure implementation of Corrective Action Plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Developmental Disabilities rules, regulations, programmatic requirements, and standards.
Contract expectations for division services.
Individual Support Plans (ISP).
Skills in:
Oral and written communication and documentation.
Providing technical assistance to Division staff and Qualified Vendors on quality activities.
Analyzing large amounts of data.
Ability to:
Utilize databases and common computer programs efficiently.
Interpret and apply federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and contracts.
Learn contract expectations, plant requirements, statutes for group home services, and systems approaches for process improvement.
Selective Preferences:
Up to two (2) years of experience within the Division of Developmental Disabilities or comparable experience, such as supervising community residential settings, working in quality assurance or compliance roles, case management, aging and adult services, or behavioral health.
In‑state travel is required.
Pre‑Employment Requirements:
Current, valid state driver’s license and completion of required training.
Background and reference checks.
Completion of the Electronic Employment/Eligibility Verification Program (E‑Verify).
Valid Level One fingerprint clearance card.
Search of the Department of Child Safety Central Registry and the Adult Protective Services Registry.
