Bloomingdale's launched a new channel of business our digital marketplace in 2023 and we are seeking support to help build this business model and drive accelerated growth.

Job Description
This colleague will oversee the Onboarding process end to end, managing both new brand relationships and the offshore team that executes the onboarding process. They will act as a strategic thought & execution partner with the Senior Manager of Marketplace and Merchants for all aspects related to Account Management. This includes developing and executing strategies related to Marketing, Promotions and Assortment curation/rationalization of 3P brands. This colleague will act as a key point of contact for sellers to facilitate communication between internal and external partners. Lastly, this colleague will help support the Senior Manager in the Business Development pipeline.

This role will be ~50% external/cross FOB and ~50% execution.

Essential Functions

Onboarding

Oversee Onboarding pipeline end to end

Manage team of offshore agents

Lead priority onboarding calls

Support account setup execution

Improve the overall quality and execution of the onboarding process

Ensure onboarding timelines are met

Account Management:

Marketing

Strategy and Execution: Partner with Sr Manager to develop and execute marketing strategies (existing brands, new brands, new categories)

Maintain ownership of all follow up to ensure seamless execution, i.e:

Maintain merch marketing priority docs

Liaise with brands for copy & imagery

Liaise with site merch for exposure opportunities

Liaise with MMN, paid search, SEO

Skills needed: Ability to juggle multiple priorities for a large matrix in a fast paced environment

Promotions

Partner with Sr Manager and brands on promotional strategy tailored to each vendor

Effectively communicate and persuade brands to participate in a compelling promotional cadence

Own execution for ~130-175 brands (half of total matrix)

Liaise with buyers for OLM brands

Skills needed: Strong understanding of Promos and Vendor POV / strategic considerations. Ability to effectively communicate business opportunity and persuade brands to participate

Brand and SKU Rationalization

Analyze current business to identify unproductive areas to pull back (i.e. SKUs to exit, brands to exit)

Manage pipeline of 'warning' brands and facilitate process with brands end to end. Communicate expectations, provide check ins and facilitate terminations

Skills needed: strong understanding of how to analyze a business (top down and bottoms up), create business driving takeaways and manage vendor relationships

Business Development:

Support Senior Manager in the seller acquisition process

Maintain business development pipeline tracker

For Tier 2-3 Sellers, participate in pitch calls and support in the follow up process to collect information needed for onboarding

Act as a liaison between seller & merchants to document final assortment curation, then as liaison between BLM and the offshore onboarding team

Qualifications

We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply

4-6+ years of relevant work experience in merchandising, retail and/or e-commerce, online marketplaces is a plus not a requirement.

Excellent project management skills and strong sense of urgency to grow and manage a new emerging business.

Customer-centric mindset and experience with cross-functional collaboration.

Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills, drawing actionable insights and recommendations, and building strategies against the analysis.

Excellent stakeholder management with Merchandising, Product Management teams and the seller community.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively share technical information, communicate technical issues and solutions to all levels of business.

Ability to juggle multiple projects - can identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timeline to team members.

Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.

Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive company information.

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Essential Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing and walking

Ability to bend, reach, hear, and communicate as needed

Continuous use of computers and standard office equipment

Ability to lift and move up 25 lbs. as required
