Duties and Responsibilities

In partnership with the creative team, the Graphic Designer supports the design efforts of HoPe, Inc.

Works with Chief Creative Officer to brainstorm, create, and proof designs for all events, campaigns, and functions.

Create visual elements such as flyers, ads (posts/stories), logos, original images, and illustrations for projects and campaigns.

Oversee the execution and evaluation of assigned designs to ensure all elements are on brand and error-free.

Incorporate changes recommended by team into final designs.

Maintain designs organized and labeled.

Be an advocate and believer in HoPe’s brand (colors, voice, strategy, etc.).

Collaborate and keep constant/clear communication with the Creative team.

Implement additional projects and tasks as assigned by the CCO.

Encouraged to participate in all HoPe Team Events.

Partake in meetings with the CCO.

Communicate via Slack on a consistent basis.

Qualifications

Strong commitment to HoPe’s mission and values.

College student or young professional.

Be approachable and relationship-oriented.

Demonstrated interest/experience in Graphic Design, Digital Media/Marketing, Relationship Building, and Professional Development/Networking.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English required.

Energetic, personable, and creative with an ability to relate well to diverse populations.

Deadline-oriented and able to take initiative and work well under pressure.

Strong ability to plan and manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills, excellent organizational skills, work effectively in teams, ethical and moral character, strong leadership skills.

Proficiency in Canva, Google Drive (including Docs, Sheets, and Calendar), Slack, and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) required.

Must be willing to commit for the whole 2024-2025 academic year.

Time Commitment
4-6 hours per week.
