CNBC Digital Video is seeking an experienced producer for its News and Programming team. The role involves creating and curating short‑form videos that cover the most important business, markets, and political stories of the day.
Key Responsibilities
Cover several hours of TV programming daily and select compelling moments for posting on CNBC.com and other platforms.
Clip and curate news moments, including full interviews and packages, and craft accurate headlines and descriptions.
Optimize video clips for SEO, metadata tracking, and distribution partners.
Shoot, edit, and produce short‑form videos for CNBC’s Pro and Investing Club audiences.
Collaborate with digital and TV reporters to create reporter‑led video analysis tied to timely news.
Serve as a primary substitute for the early morning shift (starting at 6 am) and may also cover the 12 pm–8 pm shift as needed.
Maintain a laser‑focused approach to clipping during the entirety of each shift.
Desired Experience & Skills
At least 2–4 years of experience working in a fast‑paced digital or TV newsroom.
Strong writing skills and news judgment.
Ability to work under tight deadline pressure.
Proficiency with video editing in Adobe Premiere.
Willingness to work at least three days a week in‑person at CNBC’s Englewood Cliffs campus.
Ability to handle multiple stages of production—shoot, script, and edit—for news‑focused videos.
A strong portfolio of recent work, such as video clips, explainer videos, social videos, and producer reels.
Flexibility to work non‑traditional hours on short notice.
Desired Characteristics
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop; knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
Experience shooting with Canon or Sony cinema and DSLR cameras in field and studio settings.
Experience with content management systems, with an emphasis on SEO and video distribution.
Familiarity with Riverside, WildMoka, or comparable live‑streaming tools.

Compensation
Salary range: $93,000–$110,000 per year.
