Senior SOX Analyst

Position: Senior SOX Analyst Location: Plano, Texas (Hybrid role) Duration: Contract Job ID: 176941 Job Overview: The Senior SOX Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) by evaluating and improving internal controls over financial reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of SOX requirements, risk assessment, and internal audit processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments and identify key controls for SOX compliance. Perform testing of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure effectiveness. Collaborate with process owners to document and update process narratives and flowcharts. Identify control deficiencies and provide recommendations for remediation. Support external auditors during the annual audit process. Monitor and report on the status of remediation efforts for identified deficiencies. Stay updated on changes in SOX regulations and ensure compliance with new requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or related roles. Strong knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are a plus.
