Position Summary

We're seeking a full-time Senior Digital Technician (official title: Senior Photography Specialist II) for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. This role sits at the intersection of creative production, studio infrastructure, and digital capture, ensuring that all studio technology, photographic equipment, and capture workflows operate seamlessly across both elevated editorial productions and high-volume e-commerce shoots. With over five years of experience and a mastery of Capture One, the Senior Digital Technician is responsible for managing the full digital workflow while also overseeing lighting and camera equipment to maintain efficiency, consistency, and high-quality output across all productions.
Job Responsibilities

Own the management and organization of all studio photographic equipment including cameras, lenses, lighting systems, grip equipment, monitors, and tethering kits
Maintain studio readiness across multiple stages, ensuring all equipment is prepped, tested, and ready for daily production
Configure and manage tethered capture workflows using Capture One, ensuring fast and reliable image transfer, review, and organization
Serve as the primary on-set technical expert for camera systems, lighting infrastructure, and digital capture troubleshooting
Troubleshooting cameras, lighting power packs/strobes, and managing digital workstations
Maintain color accuracy and consistency across studio monitors through calibration and workflow management
Develop standardized digital capture templates, file structures, and naming conventions that support both creative shoots and high-volume production
Stay up to date on new Capture releases and features to support SHEIN's high volume workflow
Coordinate preventative equipment maintenance, vendor servicing, and repair logistics
Train studio assistants and freelance crews on equipment handling, digital capture systems, and best practices
Partner with Studio Manager to identify opportunities to improve studio infrastructure, capture reliability, and production efficiency
Oversee output, scheduling and sharing of feedback from brand teams to Photographers when related to Photography, lighting or on-set technical readiness
Manage technical challenges on set with a calm, solutions-oriented approach that minimizes disruption to production
Work with Brand Teams on creative lighting setups and elevated visual storytelling
Facilitate communication of Photo Studio tech needs to internal IT department
Job Requirements

5+ years experience in a professional photo studio, production environment, or equipment rental house
Strong understanding of professional camera systems such as Sony, Canon, Nikon, or Phase One
Advanced knowledge of tethered capture workflows using Capture One
Experience working with professional lighting systems including Profoto or Broncolor.
Understanding of color management and monitor calibration
Experience supporting high-volume e-commerce photography workflows
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges quickly and effectively on set
Experience collaborating with producers, photographers, stylists, and creative teams
