Family Health Centers at NYU Langone, a designated Level 3 Medical Home, is the largest federally qualified health center network in New York State, and the second largest in the nation. It includes eight primary care sites, 40 school-based health centers and dental clinics, four day care centers, the nation's largest dental residency program, and New York State's largest behavioral health program. The network also includes 12 community medicine sites providing care to disenfranchised New Yorkers, comprehensive HIV services, chemical dependency programs, and a family support center that offers educational, vocational, and other social support programs.
Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor. In this role, the successful candidate Incumbent provides day to day oversight and coordinates activities related to HIV care and prevention services such as HIV testing, linkage to care and PrEP/PEP services throughout the network. Incumbent oversees grant activities as assigned, with primary responsibility for managing grants-related record-keeping and programmatic and fiscal reporting, as well as reporting for internal quality purposes. Incumbent supervises Prevention Navigators as assigned. In collaboration with program leadership, Incumbent develops and implements new programs to support HIV testing and prevention across the network. Acts as a resource and point of contact for FHC staff seeking information or guidance related to HIV prevention and related topics, and provides consultation and support to other FHC departments seeking to improve HIV testing and prevention efforts.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides direct supervision to Prevention Navigators as assigned.
Designs, implements, and evaluates Network-wide initiatives to improve HIV testing rates and increase access to PrEP, including scheduling of staff and provider trainings, provision of educational resources, and development and dissemination of workflows.
Holds primary responsibility for all aspects of the grant, including program design, staff training, quality assurance, and budget preparation and monitoring. Provides consulting and assistance to other grant-funded initiatives in the integration of HIV testing and prevention services.
Maintains calendar of grant-related and internal reporting requirements, and has primary responsibility for timely preparation and submission of reporting including appropriate tracking, monitoring, and reporting of program deliverables, program services, quality assurance, quality improvement, and reporting to funders and NYC Department of Health as required.
Conducts regular review of HIV testing logs to ensure quality of data and programs, including monitoring and coordinating POCT competency assessment for staff as well as other staff training needs. Implements changes as needed. Ensures compliance with internal and external policies and procedures, including review and updates of HIV testing and prevention policies and procedures as needed.
Oversees the day to day operations related to HIV prevention including reviewing patient charts, testing logs, and lab reports, and coordinates linkage to services as needed. Manages distribution and reconciliation of patient incentives and MetroCards.
Supports coordination of program events, including collaboration with leaders in the targeted community as well as participation in meeting with partnering agencies and coalitions. Coordinates participation of supervisees in community events, such as health fairs, LGBT events, testing events, etc
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree required, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in HIV prevention/care and supervisory experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills. Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc). Ability to multi-task and/or coordinate multiple assignments as required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master Degree and experience working with culturally diverse communities including LGBT preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,299.99 - $82,584.60 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
