Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on Production Engineer who enjoys solving manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on process improvement, troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with production, engineering, vendors, and leadership teams to improve manufacturing processes, support production efficiency, and help bring innovative products from concept to reality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain manufacturing and engineering work instructions

Assist in establishing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes

Monitor and troubleshoot production and process-related issues

Support the design and implementation of custom manufacturing equipment and tooling

Conduct time studies and support continuous improvement initiatives

Collaborate with production personnel to improve safety, quality, and efficiency

Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes and support project activities

Generate requests for proposals (RFPs) and assist with vendor management

Support Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and process improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA requirements

Travel between Ridge facilities in Pataskala and Frazeysburg as needed

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field

CAD experience preferred (SolidWorks strongly preferred)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or industrial environments

Familiarity with electrical controls and AC power systems

Mechanical design experience

Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma principles

TPM and continuous improvement experience preferred

Familiarity with ISO, QS, or other quality systems

Knowledge of composites, plastics, or related manufacturing processes preferred

Experience utilizing control plans, flow charts, and process documentation

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Minitab experience is a plus

Ability to use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
