Business Development Manager – Life Sciences Translation Services

Sesen is a leading provider of specialized language solutions for the life sciences industry. We support pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and CRO clients with high-quality translation and localization services for clinical trials, regulatory submissions, labeling, and global health communications. The Opportunity
We’re looking for a smart, motivated, and commercially-minded professional with a background in life sciences to join our team as a Business Development Manager. You don’t need to come from the translation industry, but you do need to understand the language of clinical trials, regulatory compliance, and global submissions.

What You’ll Do

Develop and grow relationships with clinical, regulatory, and localization teams at pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies

Lead consultative discussions with clients to understand their global content needs and propose tailored translation/localization solutions

Collaborate with internal teams (linguists, PMs, compliance) to develop quotes and project scopes

Educate prospective clients on Sesen’s quality, compliance, and technology standards, especially our specialization in life sciences

Represent Sesen at industry events, client meetings, and virtual conferences

Work closely with leadership on pipeline forecasting and sales strategy

What You Bring

1–3 years of experience in the life sciences industry, ideally in business development, regulatory operations, clinical project management, clinical trial technology, or solutions consulting

Strong understanding of the clinical development lifecycle or regulatory submission process

Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting to clinical and regulatory stakeholders

Interest in global health and cross-border clinical trials

Entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to learn and grow in a specialized, high-impact role

Familiarity with translation, localization, or content workflows is a plus, but not required
