The Assistant Squash Professional is a non‑exempt position whose primary responsibility is developing the squash program, including private lessons and group clinics relating to all facets of the game for men, ladies and juniors of all levels.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Teaching lessons and clinics to adults and children
Participating in squash leagues and tournaments
Assisting with member events and promoting club programs
Maintaining a clean, safe work environment
Greeting members and guests throughout the property
Understanding and anticipating the needs of our members; be attentive, listen carefully and follow through
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SKILL S & KNOWLEDGE
Minimum squash skills of 3.5
Knowledge of or participant in US College Squash
Experience providing private squash lessons/clinics for adults and children
Ability to analyze needs, and motivate adults and children
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
Confident coach and dependable team player
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional appearance and friendly manner
Proficient in a PC/Windows environment
WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position deals with outside personnel such as members and clients on a regular basis with contact in various forms such as in person, phone and email.
The location of the position changes frequently . However, extreme environmental conditions do not exist .
It is sometimes necessary to deal with unpleasant or angry people with the need to problem solve difficult situations.
It is necessary to adapt to a frequently changing environment.
Sitting and standing is as needed.
Use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Occasional lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
