Summary
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting all sales efforts with a focus on business to business and direct sales. This is a hybrid position based out of our downtown Minneapolis, MN office, some minimum number of days in the office will be expected.
Duties and Responsibilities
Handle and support special sales opportunities and projects as assigned.
Provide direct support and assistance to the sales staff.
Present select titles to select customers on a seasonal basis.
Process requests and maintain records of product samples, review copies, catalogs, cover images and other supplemental materials for all sales reps (school/library, trade, etc.).
Complete and file required paperwork for vendor applications, title adoptions, regional bids, and various other contractual opportunities.
Support school and library sales reps by completing quotations, title correlations, specialized lists, and other sales related projects.
Compile seasonal school and library rep materials.
Assist with customer inquiries for all sales staff.
Support national trade book and gift sales force, as requested by supervisor.
Complete seasonal competitive pricing analysis and sell sheet acquisition.
Maintain seasonal cover images and distribute to Canadian distributors.
Manage title submission and maintain ongoing records for leveling organizations such as Accelerated Reader, and Lexile. Update internal database with leveling from the organizations and any provided by LPS customers.
Perform other related business duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or other management as required.
Experience and Necessary Skills
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and consistently meet short-term and long-term deadlines.
Must be detail oriented and adept at handling multiple projects.
Minimum of one-year computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A strong interest in children’s book publishing a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
Full-time Salaried Position
Hiring Range: $40,000-$43,000 DOE
