CMB Catering is a fast-growing Chicago-based startup specializing in full-service catering for corporate events, weddings, private celebrations, and community gatherings. We provide customized menus, chef-prepared cuisine, professional staffing, event coordination, rentals, and bar services, all with a focus on exceptional hospitality and seamless execution.
We are seeking a part / full-time Sales Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building client relationships, and is passionate about creating unforgettable event experiences. This role manages the sales process from initial inquiry through event execution, including creating proposals, coordinating tastings and walkthroughs, maintaining client communication, and collaborating with culinary, beverage and operations teams to ensure successful events.
Key Responsibilities

Generate and manage new business opportunities
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Create customized catering proposals and event packages
Coordinate tastings, walkthroughs, and planning meetings
Manage contracts, invoices, and event timelines
Communicate event details with internal teams, venues, and vendors
Ensure exceptional client experiences from booking through event completion
Support company growth through strategic sales and relationship-building efforts
Maintain timely & consistent communication with clients & vendors
Qualifications

Previous sales, hospitality, catering, or event experience highly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously
Customer-service oriented with a professional and positive attitude
Comfortable working in a startup environment and wearing multiple hats
Passion for hospitality, food, and event planning
Ability to work well under pressure and remain level headed in stressful environments
Must be able to perform well without constant direction and supervision
Proven ability to help create systems is a strong plus.
Proficient in Tripleseat, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
