Position Overview

Part‑Time Lecturer – Department of Art, CSU Fullerton. Primary responsibilities include teaching studio or lecture classes and collaborating with colleagues to develop curricular offerings. Positions may be eligible for a benefits package depending on the credit‑load taught each semester.

Required Qualifications

MFA degree or equivalent in the field of study or a closely related field.
Experience teaching at the college or university level.
Ability to interact and work effectively with an inclusive and culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
Working knowledge of historical and contemporary art and arts practices.
Ability to facilitate group and individual critiques.
Clear communication and collaboration skills with students.
Organizational skills and experience using digital platforms to deliver content.
Preferred Qualifications

Significant teaching experience with diverse populations and a record of fostering a supportive, inclusive environment.
Relevant professional and performance experience.

Appointment and Salary

Appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month. Anticipated hiring range based on qualifications: up to $6,221 per month. Compensation is prorated by units taught and paid in monthly installments.

Position holder is a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act.
Employment contingent upon satisfactory background check per CSU policy.
Applicants must disclose any final judicial decision of sexual harassment in the last 7 years after meeting qualifications; a release form authorizes release of related information.
