Content Creator & Social Media Manager

Nashville Public Radio, Chicago, IL, USA

Pay: 60.000 - 80.000

Job type: Full Time

Summer Thornton Design is looking for a highly creative Content Creator & Social Media Manager to bring our interiors, projects, process, and POV to life across digital & social platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who has exceptionally strong aesthetic skills, thinks in series, storylines, captions, covers, and scroll-stopping visuals, and is also passionate about interior design & architecture. We are looking for someone who is energized by the day-to-day rhythm of working in a creative studio & can be present in-office, notice what is happening in real time, and turn everyday moments in-studio – design meetings, sample reviews, vendor visits, installs, project updates, team conversations, and behind-the-scenes moments – into beautifully captured & compelling content that gives our audience a peek behind the curtain of how we make magic for our clients.
You should also be able to look through a folder of project photos, install clips, press features, iPhone videos, or past assets and quickly identify fresh ideas, edit them into engaging posts, and package them in a way that feels elevated, thoughtful, and true to the Summer Thornton brand personality.
The right person has strong aesthetic taste, sharp social instincts, excellent organization, and the ability to both dream up creative ideas and execute them. You should be comfortable personally filming, capturing, editing, and sharing behind-the-scenes moments, short-form video, building carousels, writing captions, maintaining a content calendar, and growing the brand across Instagram, Pinterest, email, ST website, Youtube, and beyond.

Strong taste and visual judgment, especially around interiors, color, styling, framing, and composition
Excellent editing instincts, including pacing, music selection, titles, covers, and hooks
