About this Role
The Station Manager offers critical support & guidance to their direct and indirect reports. The individual is accountable to ensure operation teams minimize dwell at origin/destination and execute financial tasks timely & accurately. They coach the team to focus on controlling costs for improved GP per shipment. The Station Manager serves as the second‑level escalation for service failures and supports cross‑functional assistance during operational challenges such as peak season, PTO, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, etc.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Conduct constant 1‑to‑1 sessions (minimum four per month).
Coach, mentor, guide, train, and maintain accountability with direct reports.
Facilitation in alignment with HR.
Participate with direct reports to hold their respective teams accountable.
Lead (or nominate a leader) for the Operations Team fortnightly huddle.
Customer Satisfaction
Participate in Voice of Customer (VoC) results.
Document CAPA with guidance from stakeholders (CX, Commercial, LCL Export/Import Specialists, Product, and LCL Finance and Analytics team).
Supply Chain Management
Monitor direct reports’ execution regarding dwell:
Export: Origin dwell (target
Import: Destination dwell (target
Be familiar with customer rate cards/quotations to focus on transit time performance.
Compliance
Ensure all bonds are closed within 2 days of arrival, if coordinated per In‑Bond IOP.
Complete export clearance audits for 10 random shipments per month.
Finance
Drive healthy financial execution within global KPI expectations.
Enter cost accruals into CargoWise One immediately (no later than 4 business hours) following the service request.
Identify billable "Unhappy Flow" costs and add corresponding revenue accruals prior to soft close.
Avoid payables by entering cost accruals timely & accurately at time of service request.
Avoid any payables older than 30 days.
Achieve 100% soft‑close timeliness each month based on KPI’s and month‑end process.
Support the Network
Drive proactive & timely communication with direct reports; respond to other colleagues no later than the next business day.
Accountabilities

Keep diligent records of financial tasks.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Quantitative experience of related activity: 8+ years.
Knowledgeable in freight forwarding operations & finances.
Core competencies: financial awareness, integrity, analytical skills, attention to detail, coaching, communication & self‑motivation, and discipline.
Efficiency with MS office tools.
Experience with CargoWise One software.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $100,000 – $110,000 USD*
Commission: paid quarterly, based on gross profit performance with no cap.
