Overview: The Senior Account Executive track functions as the agency's engine, driving project velocity and ensuring tactical excellence. They coordinate directly with clients and pitch media daily to fulfill strategy commitments, bridging the gap between SVP or VP-led strategy and consistent, high-quality fulfillment. They coordinate directly with the client and pitch to the media on a regular basis to fulfill strategy commitments.


STRATEGY / STEWARDSHIP / RETENTION

  • Lead hosting internal and external Partner kickoff calls to align on scope, strategy, and financials.
  • Support the development and execution of media strategies based on contracted commitments.
  • Support ensuring media strategy aligns with and supports contracted scope of work.
  • Lead ensuring Partner is set up appropriately in all systems (Finance, Google, Tracking).
  • Oversee the development and issuance of Partner agendas following TFPR best practices.

EXECUTION / PITCHING / BOOKING

  • Lead pitching and placing stories across all platforms (email, phone, social, etc.).
  • Lead developing and curating targeted media lists and stewarding media relationships.
  • Lead writing and production of press releases and advisories with a 24-hour turnaround.
  • Lead hosting of Partner spokespeople and media on-site for activations and interviews.
  • Lead media prep sessions, ensures technology, and communicates talking points.
  • Lead utilizing distribution tools (Muck Rack, Constant Contact) using approved templates.

REPORTING / ADMINISTRATION

  • Oversee the tracking of media results and monitoring of key dates.
  • Oversee monitoring of Partner coverage for visibility, learning, and collaboration.
  • Oversee archiving and filing of all materials in appropriate Partner folders.
  • Oversee and contribute to producing Partner reports and syncing clip data in Muck Rack.
  • Lead and hold responsibility for billing for Partners, including billbacks and invoicing.

OTHER

  • Lead planning of internal and external TFPR and Partner meetings as needed.
  • Oversee the facilitation of vendors (photographers, videographers, creative teams) in support of scope.
  • Support award submission strategy by meeting deliverable dates and interfacing with creative teams.
  • Support the broader team by performing other duties as assigned to ensure client deadlines and internal project goals are met.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must be based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex with an ability to work both virtually and onsite when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of combined experience in public relations, marketing, and media relations, with a proven track record of managing project-based deliverables and tactical execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape, with a focus on DFW and regional outlets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously, driving tactical results while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in writing press releases, media advisories, and tailored pitch notes that resonate with reporters and editors.
  • Experience in tracking media coverage and providing quantitative and qualitative reports to clients.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, social media platforms, and media database tools (e.g., Muck Rack).
