Gensler Brand Design Lead
As a Gensler Brand Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading design and collaborating with fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, illustrators, digital designers and more to deliver a wide variety of graphics, branded environment, signage, and way-finding projects. You will also demonstrate exceptional vision, oversee projects from conception to completion, and ensure successful project outcomes. Your work will span a diverse range of practice areas. Through these efforts you will be contributing to Gensler's mission to create a better world through the power of design.
What You Will Do
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to design graphics, branded environments, and signage and wayfinding solutions that connect people to place for diverse client projects
Conduct or lead research for the organizational, cultural and physical context surrounding a project
Encourage teams to generate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve a variety of problems for our clients
Lead teams to integrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environments
Prepare or lead final documentation and production-ready artwork for 3D/EGD, print, or digital applications
Collaborate with clients, design teams and other graphic designers across multiple industries
Facilitate great design results by cultivating and maintaining positive client and team relationships
Perform as point of contact on projects for clients, vendors, and teams
Manage design workflows with multidisciplinary project team workload for multiple projects
Co-development project scopes, budgets and workplans
Support and lead the development of proposals and collaborate in the strategic development of new business; continually to learn and draw from Gensler's Brand Design portfolio
Engage and stay connected with internal team members, project managers from other areas, representatives from accounting and external vendors
Your Qualifications
Master's degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or Interior Design
10-15 years of experience as a hands-on designer and project leader, thinker, design advocate and client relationship steward for projects
Passion for design with the ability to push new ideas, manage diverse projects, and collaborate with extremely talented creative leaders
Thoughtful and flexible; able to put oneself in another's shoes and see things from multiple perspectives
Excellent organization, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills that work well in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment
Strong presentation and writing skills
Strong time management and organization skills; able to juggle multiple tasks, clients and resources
Expertise in planning, documentation and management of environmental graphic, wayfinding and signage projects in the context of the built environment
Expertise with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans and elevations; proficiency in drawing in scale
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office
Proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling programs a plus
Working knowledge of motion graphics software, digital video editing, or other skills related to designing for and creating dynamic content
