We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to lead growth within our HCP Insights offering. This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences clients. The Senior Director will act as a strategic partner to clients, translating complex scientific and commercial needs into high-impact HCP insight solutions, while working closely with internal insights, strategy, and medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own and grow new business development efforts specifically focused on HCP insights, including qualitative and quantitative research, advisory boards, market understanding, and insight activation

Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with pharmaceutical and biotech clients across commercial, medical affairs, and market access teams

Lead end-to-end sales processes including prospecting, pitch strategy, proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation

Partner closely with internal insights, strategy, and medical teams to shape compelling, scientifically rigorous, and commercially relevant solutions

Act as a subject matter expert for HCP insights, confidently articulating methodologies, value propositions, and differentiation in client conversations

Contribute to overall business strategy by identifying market trends, whitespace opportunities, and new service offerings within HCP insights

Represent the agency at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events

Meet or exceed annual revenue targets and contribute to long-term growth planning

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in business development, client services, or commercial roles within medical communications, market research, or healthcare consulting

Demonstrated success selling HCP insights or related services to pharmaceutical and biotech clients

Strong understanding of HCP research methodologies and how insights inform strategy, messaging, and activation

Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally

Strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and strong storytelling skills

Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment

Nice to Have

Existing relationships within pharma or biotech commercial or medical affairs teams

Experience working across therapeutic areas

Background in insights strategy, research design, or consulting
