Managing Consultant, Enterprise IT Contract Staffing - New York City

We are seeking an experienced Managing Consultant to join our Enterprise IT contract staffing team in New York City. The role involves building strong partnerships with clients and candidates, managing the recruitment lifecycle, and contributing to business development and sales strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with hiring managers to scope search projects by obtaining comprehensive information that defines job responsibilities, requirements, compensation, company culture, etc.
  • Manage the recruitment life‑cycle from search kick‑off through closure to ensure time‑to‑fill goals are achieved.
  • Develop, drive, and maintain strong business relationships with clients to ensure successful placements and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Drive new business with existing customers and prospects and develop relationships with Korn/Ferry Executive Search to grow key customer accounts.
  • Provide superior client care including defining position requirements, recruiting process, timely updates, interview preparation, and debriefing.
  • Prospect potential new clients, maintain outreach, and meet client meeting goals weekly.
  • Provide project updates to management, client contacts, and stakeholders and timely elevate issues.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of business experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in staffing business development, including cold calling, search strategy development, and client/candidate management; or relevant industry experience.
  • Business development / Account management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures.
  • Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth interviews and evaluate candidate profiles.
  • Exceptional customer service focus and attention to producing quality results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills; ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self‑initiative and ability to respond quickly to client requests.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and, as needed, handle project leadership responsibilities.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new processes and efficiently manage change.
  • PC proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $125,000. Compensation and benefits are commensurate with experience.
