Production Supervisor – Protein Conversion
This position is responsible for assuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor ensures all reporting requirements are met for their area of supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Train and provide an environment for employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance.

Plan and schedule manpower, materials, product, and machines to utilize departmental policies effectively and equitably, maintaining standards for safety, quality, and personnel satisfaction.

Manage employee performance, providing positive and corrective feedback.

Promote department and company goodwill through proactive communication and employee involvement.

Investigate, with other departments, areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, method improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, providing suggestions.

Promote safety throughout the area where the crew is working.

Monitor product for efficiencies and quality.

Review equipment for proper function and maintain a clean environment.

Ensure employees are present for work and implement alternate assignments if absent.

Observe that employees perform duties safely and correctly.

Report equipment or machinery problems to maintenance.

Suggest methods to improve production efficiencies and troubleshoot equipment operations.

Guarantee product meets customer specifications continuously.

Adjust production based on raw material availability.

Recommend efficient use of equipment and machinery.

Wear business casual attire and work first shift (day shift).

Basic Skills & Qualifications

1 or more years of supervisory experience.

Previous leadership experience with 20 or more employees.

Experience in the poultry or food industry or in protein conversion or maintenance preferred.

Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Capable of independent decision-making.

Basic computer knowledge.

Ability to manage multiple priorities.

English/Spanish bilingual preferred.

Ability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends.

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in a related field preferred.
