Production Engineer - Chemical Manufacturer (35848) (Troy)

An international chemical manufacturing company is currently searching for an experienced

Production Engineer

to join their facility in the Troy, Ohio area. This is a full-time and direct hire position, with openings on multiple shifts available.

Production Engineer Responsibilities Include:
Supervised of shift production associates; participate in the hiring and training process for new employees and oversee performance reviews, disciplinary measures, timekeeping, etc.
Lead daily and weekly team meetings for associates and team / group leaders
Production planning and scheduling, as well as assisting in production process improvements
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements (OSHA, etc.)
Coordination with all shifts and departments to ensure accurate completion / shipment / delivery of products
Creation of production documentation and activity reports for upper management
Other duties as assigned

Production Supervisor Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is preferred, OR equivalent work experience
At least 1-3 years’ work experience in production supervision, or similar leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
CPR / OSHA / First Aid certifications is a plus but not required
Good computer skills and familiarity and Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of continuous improvement processes
Strong communication and leadership ability in a multicultural environment
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
