Production Planning Supervisor
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Supervisor of Production Planning to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will oversee and manage the production planning process for UL1741 electrical cabinets, harnesses, overmold fuses, and fabricated components such as copper bus bars, steel panels and pile caps. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including business development, engineering, procurement, and production—to ensure efficient, timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality, cost and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling: Oversee and develop production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels and resource availability to meet production goals.
ERP: Drive parameter updates for effective ERP implementation, engaging stakeholders in change management.
S&OP: Manage demand‑supply inventory and work with procurement to establish a product supply plan aligned with business objectives.
Material Planning: Review BOMs in ERP/engineering folders to identify gaps in material availability and drive a feasible master production schedule.
Resource Allocation: Coordinate with procurement, engineering and manufacturing to ensure the availability of materials, components and resources.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory, ensuring timely availability of raw materials and components.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in production planning processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and enhance overall productivity as measured by OEE.
Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor a team of production planners, providing guidance, training and performance evaluations.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Communicate with business development, engineering, procurement and production teams to align on production priorities, resolve issues and meet customer requirements.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on production schedules, progress and any potential delays or challenges using data and metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Compliance & Quality: Ensure production planning activities comply with company policies, safety regulations and quality standards (ISO 9002).
Required Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
3‑5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment focused on electrical and harness components.
Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling techniques and inventory management.
Experience with production planning software (ERP, MRP systems, etc.) highly preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data‑driven decisions.
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts or delays in production schedules.
Knowledge of quality control standards and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
