Engineering Technical Writer - Manufacturing/Refrigeration Systems/AutoCAD/SolidWorks

Location : Conyers, GA

Pay : $30-40/hr depending on experience

Schedule : Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Onsite

Our client provides industry-leading manufacturing solutions within the refrigeration and engineered systems space. They are known for their innovative products, collaborative engineering environment, and commitment to improving operational processes and technical excellence across multiple product lines.

They are looking for you, an experienced Technical Writer, to support engineering teams through the development of technical documentation, procedures, and process standards. This is a long-term contract opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.

What you get to do:
• Create and maintain engineering procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Partner closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to gather technical information
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
• Support documentation organization and process improvement initiatives
• Work within engineering systems including SolidWorks, PLM/PDM, and ERP environments
• Assist with standardizing documentation and improving information flow across teams

What you need to succeed:
• 4+ years of technical writing experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
• Experience supporting engineering teams and writing technical/process documentation
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems, ERP/MRP environments, or engineering workflows is highly preferred
• Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and work directly with engineers
• HVAC, refrigeration, industrial equipment, or related industry experience is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
