Wabtec - Now Hiring Operations Technician

Location: Columbia, SC

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools

Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures

Basic reading, writing, and math skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently

Willingness to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment

Key Responsibilities

Disassemble mechanical components using hand tools and power tools

Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols

Clean, wash, and prepare parts using solvents and parts-washing equipment

Remove debris, dirt, and residue using compressed air and cleaning processes

Maintain accurate production flow by following scheduled work assignments

Support 5S workplace organization and maintain a clean, safe work environment

Operate equipment safely and shut down machinery when not in use

Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment

Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations
