About The Role
Our client, a leading national retailer known for delivering seamless and innovative customer experiences across both physical stores and digital platforms, is seeking a Content Designer to support transactional and service‑based journeys. This role focuses on creating clear, scalable, and user‑centered content that enhances both customer and internal team member experiences across retail and operational workflows.
This is a highly collaborative opportunity for a content design professional who thrives in product environments and can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You will work alongside cross‑functional teams to shape intuitive, connected experiences across complex customer and business journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver UX content for transactional and operational experiences across digital and physical touchpoints
Contribute to content strategy and continuous user experience improvements across connected customer journeys
Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
Create and maintain clear, scalable content patterns that simplify complex workflows
Support discovery, iteration, usability testing, and optimization within agile product teams
Translate evolving business needs and user insights into intuitive, user‑centered content experiences
Ensure all content aligns with usability standards, accessibility guidelines, and established brand voice
Contribute to both customer‑facing and internal operational tools and experiences
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in UX content design, UX writing, content strategy, or related product design disciplines
Experience designing content for transactional, operational, or service‑oriented digital experiences
Experience contributing to omnichannel or cross‑channel customer journeys
Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and content strategy fundamentals
Proven experience collaborating within cross‑functional, agile product teams
Ability to simplify complex workflows into clear, intuitive user experiences
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders at all levels
Experience using Figma and modern product collaboration tools
Portfolio demonstrating product thinking, UX content strategy, and cross‑functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail, e‑commerce, fulfillment, store operations, or service‑based workflows
Experience designing for both customer‑facing and employee‑facing tools or platforms
Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive content design practices
Experience working within large, enterprise or highly matrixed organizations
