We are looking for an Account Specialist to join our Talley team in Corona, CA! This position is fully on-site and requires regular in-person collaboration at our office location.
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Summary
The Account Specialist is a high-impact role responsible for delivering exceptional customer support, managing key accounts, and ensuring accurate pricing and contract administration. This position blends customer relationship management and detailed analytical work to drive profitability, improve service levels, and support strategic growth initiatives. The role partners closely with sales, purchasing, pricing, and other internal stakeholders to execute solution‑driven projects and maintain operational excellence.
What You'll Do
Own the details of specific key account programs and contract files, ensuring costs, sell prices, and margins are accurate and aligned.
Secure market-level pricing feedback and provide timely quotations and proposals.
Audit quotes and order data to ensure compliance with contracts and internal policies.
Maintain rebate and pricing match codes and support vendor pricing updates and part setups in core systems.
Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and pricing leaders to support smart sourcing decisions, vendor negotiations, and profitable growth initiatives.
Review and analyze daily margin and performance reports, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Analyze, mine, and report on large data sets to support pricing, customer, and operational decisions.
Identify and execute profitable growth projects in partnership with the corresponding sales and program teams.
Recommend and help implement process improvements and system enhancements to streamline workflows and increase accuracy and efficiency.
Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with key accounts.
Serve as a key point of contact throughout the order‑to‑remittance process, communicating via phone, email, instant message, and web‑based tools.
Act as an extension of the sales force to support key program initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries, process orders, and resolve issues promptly using root‑cause analysis.
Proactively manage customer open order data to maximize fill rates, service levels, and satisfaction.
Translate the voice of the customer to support continuous improvement in processes and customer experience.

Qualifications
2+ years of industry experience with a strong sales, customer service, or account management background.
Experience with ERP and reporting tools.
Customer service experience a plus.
Experience managing vendor pricing contracts and/or rebates a plus.
High School or GED – required.
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent – preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; comfortable working with automated order entry systems and other internet‑based tools.
Strong intermediate math skills and the ability to interpret and work with pricing, margin, and cost data.

High energy and passion for exceeding customer expectations; strong desire to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Goal‑oriented and self‑motivated with ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to analyze, mine, and report out on large data sets.
