Bandit, New York, NY, USA

Pay: 60.000 - 80.000

Job type: Full Time

Bandit Running is more than a performance apparel brand — we're a community built by runners, for runners. Founded in Brooklyn in 2020, our mission to “Evolve Running” guides everything we do, always putting the needs of the global running community first. As the fastest-growing brand in the sport, we challenge conventional brand-building norms, prioritizing an extremely high‑bar for disruptive excellence across product, experiences and content. Our vision is to build an enduring, iconic brand that breaks down barriers and inspires greater passion and participation in the sport we love.

We are seeking a

Marketing Copywriter

who will be responsible for the brand's language across consumer touchpoints. You'll work at the intersection of creative, growth, and product to make sure every channel is reflective of our brand, and driving toward marketing objectives. This role is equal parts craft and execution: you'll write copy that moves runners, sells product, and builds a brand worth following.

Brand Voice & Storytelling

In partnership with Creative Director and CMO, author and help evolve Bandit’s voice guidelines — tone, terminology and editorial standards across every channel

Translate the “Evolve Running” mission into copy that is authentic to runners and distinct from everyone else in the category

Develop and maintain a living copy system: messaging frameworks, product naming conventions and narratives, and a do/don’t voice playbook

Site & Product Copy

Write and edit all on‑site copy: PDPs, collection pages, homepage, navigation, landing pages, drop pages and editorial features

Craft product names, descriptions and feature stories that balance technical performance with brand storytelling

Partner with Growth and Design on landing page experiments — write conversion‑driven variants and test headlines, hero copy and CTAs

Email, SMS & Lifecycle

Lead copy for all email and SMS campaigns and flows in Klaviyo — flows, campaigns, drops, events and our editorial Bmail

Write subject lines, preview text and bodies that consistently outperform benchmarks; partner with Growth to A/B test and iterate

Build segmented copy variants by audience (new vs. returning, training stage, race interest) without losing brand voice

Paid Social & Performance Copy

Write copy for paid social (Meta primary, plus emerging channels), Google and affiliate creative — primary text, headlines, descriptions and ad variants — that drives toward performance objectives within our elevated brand voice

What We’re Looking For

Deep love and curiosity for running culture, and the credibility to write to runners authentically

4+ years of copywriting experience at a lifestyle‑driven consumer brand; experience in performance apparel, activewear, sport or lifestyle is a strong plus

A portfolio that shows range across brands, tone and channels

Sharp instinct for voice — you can read a few pieces of a brand’s content and reproduce its tone with precision

Strong editorial judgment — you can self‑edit, accept feedback, and hold the line on quality when timelines are tight

Self‑starter — you take initiative to ensure projects are moving forward, including soliciting feedback and approvals as needed, connecting proactively and independently with cross‑functional partners and identifying opportunities for the brand

Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Figma and standard project management tools (Asana, Notion or similar)

Benefits

This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn Headquarters

Competitive base salary + equity

Comprehensive health, dental and vision benefits

Generous product discount on Bandit gear

Stipend for races, running gear or events

A passionate, mission‑led team committed to redefining what a running brand can be
