Wisconsin Electric Power, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Principal Account Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Summary
Account Managers develop and leverage close business relationships with our key customers. The Key Accounts group currently manages over 200 customers representing approximately 15,000 accounts and $800 million in annual revenue.

The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned customers and is responsible for overall customer satisfaction. They are expected to proactively address customer needs and consistently deliver excellent customer service.

The job family includes Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, Principal Account Manager; experience level determines the position.

Job Responsibilities

Build deep, broad, and ongoing relationships with the customer's leadership team.

Manage, support, and service customers' needs.

Own overall responsibility for their relationship with We Energies and guarders of the relationship.

Proactively develop (with the customer) and implement a comprehensive Customer Partnership Plan for each assigned customer.

Ensure customer's perception of the company is positive.

Identify solutions that address the customers' needs and concerns, while also considering the company's best interests.

Develop working knowledge of customers’ operations and internal organizational hierarchy to anticipate needs and respond effectively.

Communicate customer requests, requirements, and schedules internally to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution or resolution.

Keep We Energies management informed of potential customer issues and critical information or announcements pertaining to key customers.

Leverage advanced communication and negotiation skills to arrive at mutually beneficial solutions or resolve conflict through education.

Collaborate with Customer Service, Customer Operations, Regulatory and other business units to provide seamless service to key accounts.

Participate in intra‑ and inter‑departmental teams.

Work with customers to obtain usage projections and market intelligence for developing company forecasts.

Monitor project status to ensure on‑time completion and meeting of obligations/commitments; may negotiate schedule or scope changes.

Use various communication channels such as face‑to‑face, phone, e‑mail, and letters to convey company messages to customers' key decision‑makers.

Commit to excellent customer service and exceed expectations, requiring overtime or availability outside normal hours.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.

Account Manager: 3+ years experience in internal/external customer service or account management, preferably in the utility industry.

Senior Account Manager: 5+ years experience, preferably in the utility industry.

Principal Account Manager: 7+ years experience, preferably in the utility industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with large data center customers.

Pay Range Minimum:

$78,702.26

Pay Range Maximum:

$156,125.32

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
