Role Description
This is an on-site role for an Audio Visual Technician, located in Ronkonkoma, NY. The Audio Visual Technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio-visual equipment such as sound systems, video walls, lighting systems, and video conferencing tools. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting AV systems, ensuring high-quality visual and audio experiences, and collaborating with event teams to meet the unique needs of each event. The position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to adapt in dynamic event environments.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining Audio Visual (AV) systems and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues efficiently
- Experience performing sound checks, EQ adjustments, gain structure optimization, and live mixing throughout events
- Knowledge of audio, lighting, and video systems, including their setup and optimization
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Prior experience in the events or production industry is a plus
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
- Prior experience in corporate events, concerts, or general event production
