is seeking an experienced

Marketing & Communications Coordinator

for an opportunity in Chicago, IL. This role supports a broad range of marketing and communications initiatives including membership marketing, event promotion, branding, social media management, content development, publications, public relations, and creative campaign execution.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and collaborative marketing professional with strong communication skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. This role requires balancing strategic planning with hands‑on execution while supporting a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management

Develop and support marketing plans designed to achieve organizational and client objectives

Assist with campaign planning, budgeting, and execution strategies

Coordinate implementation of marketing plans and project deliverables

Develop production schedules and ensure project timelines are maintained

Support operational oversight and project coordination efforts

Content Development & Communications

Develop marketing collateral from copywriting and content creation through production and fulfillment

Write, edit, and manage content for websites, digital communications, and marketing initiatives

Create, format, and distribute email marketing campaigns

Monitor campaign analytics and reporting including engagement and click-through metrics

Support content strategy and communications planning initiatives

Digital Marketing & Social Media

Manage updates and content across client websites

Assist with development and maintenance of social media plans and content strategies

Support social media updates across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and X/Twitter

Maintain content consistency and brand standards across digital channels

Project Coordination & Administrative Support

Track budgets, direct expenditures, and staff time allocations

Assist with coordinating project workflows and supporting team deliverables

Support junior team members through task coordination and project management activities

Identify opportunities for partnerships, affiliations, and initiatives supporting organizational goals

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year institution in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience considered

Minimum 3+ years of professional marketing and communications experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Strong organizational and project management abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

Agency and/or association management experience preferred

Working knowledge of marketing strategy including research, planning, promotion, and evaluation

Strong understanding of social media platforms and content management

Experience using LinkedIn, Facebook, and X/Twitter for business communications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Basic understanding of HTML and website content management preferred

Experience working within fast‑paced, multi‑client environments preferred
