Director of Leisure Sales

Arizona Biltmore, an LXR Hotel & Resort by Hilton located in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Director of Revenue Management to develop and implement a business plan for top accounts, focusing on inbound business to the Phoenix/Scottdale market with a high volume of sales leads and working with customers in multiple time zones.
  • Provide monthly reports on the ROI of leisure marketing campaigns, partner promotions, and market capture against the comp set.
  • Report on the complete qualifications of each account to determine total revenue potential, booking patterns and histories, decision‐making factors, business/personal needs, resources, competition, and marketing.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement marketing plans and initiatives for key accounts in collaboration with the Director of Sales.
  • Solicit and develop new wholesale, travel‑advisor, corporate, and retail accounts to generate business opportunities for the Arizona Biltmore.
  • Travel as necessary to meet and develop the client base, including trainings, trade‑show participation, FAM trips, and retail travel agencies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts through ongoing communication.
  • Partner with related departments such as Revenue Management, Marketing, group sales, e‑commerce, and Operations to guide overall property strategies and tactics.
  • Continuously uncover business opportunities, including group tour and entertainment business.
  • Perform other project and business‑development activities as directed by management.
  • Manage property‑specific promotions, annual Consortia/FIT/LNR/CNR RFPS, contracts, and relevant communications to accounts.

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • At least five (5) years of luxury hospitality sales experience, two (2) of which must have been in a leadership role.
  • Experience working at a Forbes‑rated property is preferred.
  • Proven experience building relationships in a leisure hospitality market.

Compensation

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
