Sales Representative

Allied National is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our growing Sales team! The Sales Rep will be a field-facing sales leader who will be responsible for driving general agency growth and production across an assigned territory. This role will be focused on recruiting, developing, and expanding general agencies and their downline agents, while executing strategic sales initiatives that increase market penetration, production, and long-term partnerships.
The Sales Rep serves as a trusted advisor to General Agencies-providing leadership, training, and consultative support to help agencies and scale profitably. This position is accountable for both production results and agency growth goals, and requires a high level of autonomy, relationship management, and strategic execution. To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with proven sales experience in the insurance industry, who also has a strong knowledge of group-based insurance products and consultative sales strategies.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, onboard, and develop new General Agencies aligned with Allied's growth strategy
Expand production and engagement within existing General Agencies by identifying growth opportunities and removing barriers to success
Deliver ongoing sales training, field coaching, and strategic guidance to improve agent effectiveness and close ratios
Serve as a trusted partner by providing consultative insights, market intelligence, and performance feedback
Represent Allied professionally at agency meetings, regional events, and industry conferences
Consistently achieve or exceed production, growth, and agency development goals
Track agency performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to guide strategic decisions
Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics
Provide feedback to leadership on product positioning, agency needs and growth opportunities
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred
Proven sales leadership experience in the insurance industry needed, preferably within general agency or distribution models
Strong knowledge of group-based products and consultative sales strategies required
Must have demonstrated success with recruiting, developing, and growing agencies or agent networks
Ability to travel up to 50% to support agency growth and field engagement
Experience analyzing production data, agency performance, and market trends to drive growth strategies as well as a background in working with multi-level distribution or managing large agency relationships is preferred
Holding a Life and Health license is a preferred
