Akkodis is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer; the candidate will take ownership of day-to-day content creation while collaborating with marketing strategists, copywriters, and creative leads. It's a Contract job with a client in Alameda, CA (100% Onsite).
Rate Range: $65/hour -$70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
• Design high-quality social media content including static graphics, carousels, stories, reels, thumbnails, and paid social ads.
• Translate brand guidelines into visually engaging assets tailored to each platform (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• Contribute creative ideas to campaigns, content calendars, and organic or paid initiatives.
• Produce short-form videos and motion graphics using platform-native tools or editing software.
• Maintain consistency across all visual touchpoints while bringing fresh, creative concepts to social content.
• Stay current on design trends, platform updates, and real-time cultural moments that can inspire new content.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure visuals align with messaging and campaign goals.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in social media design, digital design, or content creation roles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating social-first design, motion graphics, and short-form video work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and/or editing tools
• Solid understanding of visual storytelling, typography, layout, and mobile-first content design.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and content performance drivers.
• Ability to take creative direction while also initiating ideas independently.
