Underground Printing (UGP) is a rapidly growing screen printing and embroidery company based in Michigan.

We produce the majority of our printed apparel in a 172,000‑square‑foot facility and serve both B2C and B2B customers—including non‑profits, retailers, universities, and brands—across the United States.

We consistently rank in the top 10 largest screen printers by volume in the U.S. and are one of the fastest growing online clothing retailers.

Position
The Associate Sales Manager will be a member of the sales team, reporting to the Sales Manager or Regional Sales Manager. This in‑person, hourly, non‑exempt position may have a variable schedule based on business needs.

Possible future career paths: Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, National Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

Promote UGP's core values; show up, work hard, be respectful and honest, strive for excellence, do what you say, and promote DEI.

Convert quotes into leads that produce sales.

Communicate sales information to the Sales Manager in a timely manner.

Adhere to the Digital Code of Conduct.

Provide constructive feedback to effect change and be part of it.

Actively participate in 1 on 1 weekly meetings with the Sales Manager.

Assist in coverage when other UGP team members are unavailable—primarily via email and phone coverage, but possibly including travel to another UGP location.

Ensure customers have the best experience and outcome possible.

Engage with local businesses and community members; attend local events, including Downtown Association meetings, networking groups, and chamber of commerce meetings.

Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person to determine their needs; focus on what the customer prefers or needs.

Propose and relay sales and marketing ideas to the Sales Manager.

Collaborate with the Sales Manager to engage customers and drive sales at events and local opportunities.

Use social media to promote the specific store location and UGP overall.

Metrics on the Sales L10 Scorecard vs goal set by the Sales Team.

Year‑over‑year increase in custom sales each year.

Customer feedback rating of at least 90 %.

Requirements

Degree from a four‑year college or university.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Previous sales experience.

Very strong typing speed and accuracy.

Highly advanced organizational skills.

Proficiency with Gmail, its applications, cloud computing sites, and social media.

Prior management experience is preferred.
